Joseph Edouard William Allen

In loving memory of Bill, who passed away peacefully with family by his side at Gillis House on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at the age of 82.

Loving father of Tammy Allen, granddaughter Alysha and great grandchildren Gracie, Tyson and Julius.

Cherished brother of John Allen, Marie Alopaeus, Flore Allen and Thelma Jenkins and his many nephews and nieces.

Bill is predeceased by his parents William Edward Sr. and Regina Flora Allen (Mandeville), his sister Rachel Murphy, and his brothers, Denis Allen and William Alexander Allen.

Bill was known in the community of Merritt for his ability to always be ready to give a helping hand to whomever needed help. He was known for his cheerful smile and gentle manners. Have no fear, he would protect anyone who was being mistreated or in danger. He saved many lives in the days that he operated a Tow Truck. In his later years he was well known by all when he worked for Merritt Taxi. Bill leaves behind many amusing stories. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He now rests in peace in the comfort of the Lord.

In keeping with Bill’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Internment will be held at a later date in Ontario at Bill’s place of birth.
