Cheryl Ida Frilund

Cheryl was born on Staten Island NY, to her Parents Nils Frilund and Frances Frilund nee Frances Weber. Cheryl was an only child, never married or had children. Her Aunt Ida was her second mother who loved her dearly. Cheryl graduated from Tottenville HS. She loved sports and especially football. She was an avid Steelers fan. Cheryl moved to Florida after her parents and aunt died. She loved Florida and her job at Walmart. She made many good friends working at Walmart in Merritt Island who became like family. Cheryl had a great sense of humor. She found good in all situations, including when she found out she had cancer.

She had much support from her friends including her best friend Rhonda and her cousin Florence Vuolo.

Many thanks to all her doctors and nurses whom she trusted and loved. The nurses at Kindred Hospital in ICCU 5 who always made her feel special.

A visitation will be held at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home, located at 1360 N Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32953, on January 19, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The funeral service will follow from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
