Elizabeth T. Eckert

Betty Eckert of Naples Florida, formerly of Cape Canaveral Florida and Audubon N.J. passed away on Sunday "Mothers Day" May 8, 2011 at the age of 83. Betty was born September 27, 1927 in Lansdowne PA.

She was raised in the Lansdowne Pennsylvania area and worked for Sun Oil Company in Philadelphia where she met G. Wayne Eckert. They were married and moved to Audubon, N.J. where they raised a family. Betty worked for International Christian Relief (ICR) of Collingswood, N.J. for many years eventually retiring. She was an active member of the Bible Presbyterian Church, Collingswood N.J. for many years moving to Cape Canaveral Florida. She served and attended the Grace Bible Presbyterian Church of Cape Canaveral for over 25 years where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and served on many Christian womens outreaches.

Betty is survived by her Husband G. Wayne Eckert of Naples FL and three sons Stephen of Speculator, NY, David of Lancaster PA and Mark of Bonita Springs FL. Also she was blessed to have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:30pm, Wednesday May 11, 2011 at the Grace Bible Presbyterian Church, #1 Church La., Cape Canaveral, Florida with burial immediately following at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL. Calling hours will only be between 2:00pm - 2:30pm at the church prior to the service.
