

He is survived by his loving family; wife, Carolyn, of 60 years; sons, Jack Douglas, Jr. of Auburndale, Michael Conway (Cindy) of Madison, AL; daughter, Cindy Holt-Anderson (Mark) of Huntsville, AL; brother, H. U. Parrish; grandchildren, Leah and Jesse Holt; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Roeder (Art); and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was born September 19, 1923 in Cocoa. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. He was captured in Germany and was a P.O.W. until liberated in 1945.
After coming home, he attended the University of Florida, graduated Rollins College, then worked for Pan Am World Airways for 35 years. Among other things, his job included working on the missile tracking ships, Arnold and Vandenburg.
After retirement, he enjoyed working in his grove. He loved the Lord, his family and friends, golf and the Gators. He was loved and will be missed by them all.
A memorial service will be held at Rockledge Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rockledge Presbyterian Church.
