Joanne Marie Siebern, 58, passed away June 7, 2013 at her home. She was born June 23, 1954 in New York City to George and Sherry Siebern. She lived with her parents until they passed away.

Joanne was developmentally disabled from birth but was trained and educated in special facilities all her life. She received training in Jacksonville, FL and at ARC training center as well as 28 years (since 1976) from BAC until her retirement.

Joanne was well trained and capable of self care and she formerly lived in her own house (if not with a roommate or two). Together they cared for their needs with supported help. They received assistance as needed from Disabled and Alone.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents George and Sherry Siebern; brother George H. Siebern, Jr.; aunts Carole Bezikos and Dorothy Goodrum. Joanne is survived by her aunt Alma Puglia; cousin Lynne LeBlanc of Stamford, CT; several cousins throughout the U.S.A. and her cat Goldie.

Calling hours will be 10AM-11AM followed by services beginning at 11AM on Saturday June 15, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church, Merritt Island. Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts to: Special Gathering, Brevard Achievement Center or Faith Lutheran Church for The Reaves Group Home.
