Josh was a great friend to me during a very difficult part of my life and I will forever be thank for him being there for me during that time. Even though we didn't really talk during the last several years I'll always appreciate you being there in that time. I have just recently moved to Florida and I realized your parents were living down here and had hoped to get back in touch with you and came to find out to had passed.. My you rest easy in heaven my friend you were always such an amazing person. 

Its october 31st n im jus here n this..im not sure what 2 say....u were genuinely a good person..kind ..loving..willing 2 help neone out..with nething..u cud make me laugh..smile...on my worst day..n brought smiles 2 erbodys face that u encountered...i no ur lookin down.. watchin over us... smiling..u will b missed more than u cud no..love u homey...till we meet again..rest easy my brother

Where to even begin. Gosh you were such a character.  Always trying to make people laugh. You had a heart of gold. You are one of the most incredible humans I've ever known. You are so loved and will be so missed. 
Rest in paradise. 

I have come here several times to write and each time the tears have come.  Anytime I saw him, what a smile and always a hug.  He was such a caring person.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Josh would always have some sort of crazy gift for me and my former partner when he visited. Small stuff. A picture of gir from Invader Zim because he knew I loved the show. A hat that he had for years that he gave to me just because I liked it. But it was also beyond that. He would never let anyone talk bad about his friends. He would never back down from a conflict just because he was nervous. He was fearless. You couldn't ask for a more loyal friend. He had your back even when you had gotten in an argument with him. Even when he was going through a rough patch, he exuded so much energy and love to everyone. When I felt nervous about something or didnt want to go into work, he would hype me up and make me feel better.  It hurts me to know that he's gone... 


MoMo was my son best friend. I lived him like he he was my own. He was the most compassionate young man I had ever meet. He loved his friend with a passion and would do anything possible and sometime impossible for them. He always made time for me also. Txt me or call me once a week just to see that I was ok  I will miss him so very much. God bless this family n help them thru this time please n thank you. Amen

I know it’s hard to deal with as I’ve been there. But when you think of him remember the fun times, his infectious laughter and his big smile. He always put a smile on my face.  Dana

Josh will always be missed. I’ll never forget playing on the indoor slide during our middle school summers, and our fun nights going to high school football games. Then, cutting out early to drive around town and just talk and catch up on any time lost. He was the kind of friend you could pick up where you left off anytime we met up. I’ll forever miss seeing his “Hey cuz” message that started an hour long conversation.

No words can express the pain you are suffering from the loss of a child. Just know that you guys are in my thoughts and prayers . 

I will never forget the time josh and I drove in my little drop top bug to hit a bar on a busy night downtown. I had recently gotten my drivers license and was not super confident at parallel parking but there was only one spot open and we’d already circled the block several times. He said “cmon ambo! It’s all good you’ve got this! You’re a professional!!” And so I assumed the position and tried to park my tiny car in what appeared to be the least difficult spot that ever existed. On the patio of the busy bar we’re In front of - there were about a dozen frat boys watching me attempt to nervously squeeze in this spot. They started hollering and chanting “what’s the matter? First day?” And calling me stupid etc. josh LEAPED out of the car, with zero remnants of fear in his breath and immediately jumped to my defense threatening to fight anyone who said another word. He switched seats with me, parked my car, told me a funny joke to make me feel better, and we went about the rest of our evening and met up with our friends. That is who josh was. He was fearless. He immediately jumped to anyone’s defense and gave the shirt off his back to anyone in need or anyone who was hurting. He rooted for the underdog. He was the underdog. Time and time again I watched him fall, but he always got back up and did better than before. He had a lot of demons, and he fought them hard. But he always had a light that shined a little brighter than everyone else’s. He never let any of his choices harden him from his core values. The world lost an angel today, and I can only hope he’s at peace now. I know he was tired for a long time. You were loved my many Josh, rest easy. 

Joshua will always hold a very special place in my heart.  He had so much fun with life.  

I can’t even find the words to say. Nothing feels adequate to describe the way I felt hearing the news. I am heartbroken; I had lost contact with Josh for too long and honestly just thought about reaching out to check in with my dear friend. I will always remember the good times we shared; all the times he made me laugh, the way his hugs always seemed to make me feel better, and that bright, beautiful smile that could make every bad day better. My prayers are with the family in this difficult time ❤️

Josh, meeting you was amazing. You came into my life at a time when I had no one and was in a dark place. Being able to go walk the mall or hit a museum or go eat dinner and be safe with my friend was so healing. You helped me to relearn being social and brave. You were SO brave. Thank you for the confidence and bravado you helped me relearn. Thank you for going with me to scary appts and helping me and my wife move. Thank you for having been authentically you. Always. I am still so proud of all you accomplished and I'm proud to have called you my friend. 

When I first mett josh about 15 years old we actually had a confrontation 
Years later I ran back into him in County we hit it off I love that dude the shirt on my facebook profile josh made me I have his book he was a real friend and a genuine persons   he had tons of potential some unrealized  
When we lost him we lost a star

Although we haven’t talked in several years because we parted ways badly. I hate that you have left this world  way too early. It truly saddens me. 
I pray for your parents that they can heal from this loss and the pain of outliving you. This is harder on them than it is any of us. Watch over them. They will need you.

Hey buddy,   I miss you already. Your grins, your laugh, hearing....”Gee”. Getting a messsge. “Gee”. Nothing else... you were always close to my heart, no matter what or where you were.  Always made me smile, and always made me feel special. Give Lucas a hug for me, and teach him how to surf.  And you really did look cute with your funky glasses. 

Our First picture together, our first meet up and visit. We were In STL for the Cardinals game. You were so happy this day and we had such a good time. I knew on this day how much I really cared about you and loved you. This is one of my favorite pictures. The amount of memories I have can never be forgotten I'm so thankful for the time we had together. Good and bad. 

Josh was one of my brother's best friends who he considered a brother and we welcomed him with open arms. If you are a brother of Jason's, you become a brother of ours. My heart is heavy for everyone who will miss you, Momo. I'm sharing here because as a parent, I am always truly  humbled by the impact my child has made outside of this world and my prayers are with your parents. Jason speaks so highly of them and your wall of memories truly speaks to just what kind of person you are. I don't think I've ever seen you without a smile on your face and you were always so full of life. You will be very missed by even those who didn't know you deep down. We love you Momo. Watch over us!

Dear Joshua,
    All the words I couldn't find a way to say...

  You were a little brother to me. The world may have called us cousins, but to me that wasn't the way it was. From as far back as I can remember you were in my life. I remember all the times where we would hang out and play together. We would all run around the house chasing each other. We would go down to the creek beds and try to catch crawdads. Every single holiday we were together at the end of the table grumping about being forced to the "kids table". We would get out and try to play football or just catch in the backyard while leaping off the divider wall. Every time you were around you had so much energy and charisma. You would smile and I couldn't help but smile right along with you. Your wit and sarcasm always had a way of making every conversation funny... I don't know if you knew, but I was always, and will always be, proud to have you as my little brother, cousin, family. You meant so much more to me than you probably knew, and it breaks my heart to know that. I have always loved you, and absolutely nothing in your life ever changed that. I meant it when I told you I was proud of you. I hope you believed me. I will never forget you. I will never stop missing you. I have lost a little brother and things will never be the same. I love you. And I can almost guarantee the angels in Heaven are smiling... because if you're smiling, everyone around you is smiling.

There's too many memories to list them all. Every Thanksgiving. Every Christmas. Your smile brightened the whole room. Your laugh was contagious.  I remember playing Mario at Grandma's. Football in the back yard. Growing up together until we moved. I remember when you showed me your Pokemon Snap on the Nintendo 64 and I was so jealous that you had it and I didn't. Playing in the creek behind your house. When we moved to Florida and you all came to visit. When we went to Disney and you got lost. I wish I could find that picture you showed me of us in front of the tree. When we swam on Christmas day and froze! Easter last year playing chicken in the pool. The last memory I have is this past Easter. You had everyone cracking up with your stories. The kids had so much fun playing with you. You were so good with them. Our family will be forever missing you and your amazing smile. 

I don't know where to begin. Josh's mom, Leslie, and I grew up together. Best friends. Still are. We were pregnant together; me with my daughter Andrea, her with Josh. When both were born we took turns babysitting. Everyone thought they were twins. Two blonde chubby little cherubs.  Josh and Andrea had many great times as they grew. He was like my son. Throughout the years as time passes we all got busy and saw less of one another. However,  each time we got together or spoke it was like no time had passed. I have so many great memories of Josh! He grew from a very special baby to an incredible young man. He was the only child to the happiest, strongest, most loving two people I've had the privilege of knowing in my life. I'm so blessed to have known him, Leslie, Don, and so many family members. May Josh be at peace in the Lord's arms!

I never imagined life without you. You were my first love and that’s a love that will never fade. I will miss you Joshua, always and forever. If you’re a bird.... 

Through the thick and thin we were there for each other. You were one of my very best friends. There are so many things that I wish I could tell you but that opportunity will never come. Some of the best memories I have are with you. Memories that will be with me forever. You were an amazing person and a great friend. Your memory will live on. RIP old friend. I met this young man on his quest to be free.  I Am the Nusse at SEMO. He was a joy, full of life, and loved those around him deeply. He will be greatly missed.  He longed to be free and now he is.....

There was never a time when you werent there for us. You answered every call, every text, every knock on the door. You answered every bad day with a smile and a laugh, you answered every good day with one too. Simply put, our lives will never be the same without you in them. There will forever be a place in our hearts for you that no one will be able to fill. Dalton misses you terribly, as do I, but you are at peace now. We love you, always. 

There are so many memories I don't know where to start, but you loved cooking for me. You loved that I loved your food so much. You always wanted to cook me something to show me how much you cared and this photo is from our time in Florida when I came to visit. You cooked delicious burgers and hot dogs on the little grill by your house. We sat in the cool breese and you played with your camera lenses and took pictures of me on the tree swing.  You were so good at capturing moments.

So heartbroken. This news left me so heartbroken. You were SUCH a great Person. And I'm thankful I got to grow up with you. Our little clan of friends that hung out everyday😂 it was the best. Listening to music all the time and my parents yelling at us to 'close the darn door ur letting all the AC out'.😂 Back when life was simple and all we had to worry about was new skate boards and all night skates♡ you were like, my first 'boyfriend' in middle school😂 and you were one of my best friends for years and years. You'll never be forgotten, Mo. Ever.  Love you, always.

Momo, I am so heartbroken.  We were making plans to meet up when I was in Florida in February. I am so sad we didn’t get a chance to meet up again after I moved and you moved. My heart aches for your family. You were such a big part of my life growing up and I am so sorry this happened. 😭 rest easy bud. I’ll see you on the other side.

Brother it’s crazy how long we’ve been friends. We never once got into any arguments or fights. I honestly can’t believe that you’re gone man. It seems so unreal to lose such a good person. All I’ve done since Mom called me is sit here in my box.  I’ll always cherish the times we had together. From being goofy kids out running around to living together. Man we definitely had a lot of good times. I just wish that we could’ve had more. I’ve been saying forever that I was goin to come see you and I didn’t. I feel so terrible for letting time slip away. You was always more then a friend more like a brother. I remember back in like middle school we had people thinkin we were cousins lol. You were always caring and kind. You may have gave people a hard time here and there. But you would also give them the shirt off your back if they needed. I’m going to miss those random calls and picking up the phone hearing Jdog what the h311 are you doin.. Brother you was definitely loved a lot and by all kinds of people. I’ll see you again someday. Love you brother 

Josh was one of my oldest friends I made on my own outside of family friends. I never told him but his friendship ment more to me than he knew. I had to move around a lot as a kid, but one of the town's I settled in for years was Rolla, where I met Josh through our friend Jason Nichelson. Josh and Jason proved they really liked me and thought I was cool at a time when I felt like I'd never make true friends that I would get to know well enough to evolve past friend and right into family. He was goofy and nerdy just like me, but he owned it. He was probably one of the most outgoing people I'll ever meet. 
I'm so sorry I didn't get to tell you in person that you helped me be who I am, and not that kid who always sat alone because I thought I was meant to be alone.
