I met Joyce online through Pogo. She was a wonderful lady and was very supportive of my son during his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Joyce will be missed by many.

We met Joyce in the early 60's. My mother, Edith, began a lifelong friendship with Joyce when they worked together, briefly. When my mother died in 1999, Joyce and I kept in touch and our friendship grew. We were happy to hear that she would be moving to Brevard County. We had several good visits with Joyce, Doug, Kelly, Doug, Jr. and Gerrit. They shared their loving home with Joyce and that is where she wanted to be during her last few hours here on earth. We will always remember Joyce as a warm and caring friend.

I got to know Joyce while we both worked at the school system. We became good friends and eventually neighbors. She was the sister  I never had, my confidant and best friend. We shared many laughs and tears over the years I've known her. I got to know her family, friends and of her Pogo friends through her.  I'm especially glad she was able to spend her final time with her son and his family...they meant so much to her. I know that her Grandsons will have a lot of special memories...they were her world. Once she wrote in my Bible, Philippians 1:3... "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you" - King James Bible "Authorized Version", Pure Cambridge Edition.. Now it's my turn,  I miss her so much!  Girl's Night with Elaine and Maritza will have her there with us in spirit always. Peace always Joyce! Girl (one of her favorites), you've had your own personal Rapture!

Joyce and I became friends on Pogo.  One day she asked me to call her.  We laughed and talked about everything and anything.  Her beautiful laugh was addicting. She was like the sister I never had. Whenever I heard something funny, I would call her just to hear that heart-warming laugh.  

When two of my pets died, she gave me comfort as no one else could do. She seemed to understand that they weren't just dogs but family members. 

She was such a good example for me.  I worry about everything and everyone.  She would tell me to trust God and all would be fine.  I trust that today Joyce is in heaven and there is a great celebration for her.  That beautiful laugh of hers is echoing through all of heaven as she greats the son she lost years ago.  I didn't get to meet Joyce here on earth, even though she invited me to visit many times, but some day I hope to hear that laugh of hers in heaven.  

Joyce told me a few weeks ago how happy she was that she had moved in with her family.  She told me they had been so wonderful to her.  I know how much she loved all of you.  Take comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord Jesus Christ and out of all of her pain and suffering.  Thank you, Joyce, for being a part of my life here on earth.

I met Joyce through pogo and our friendship was very special to me. Through the pictures we exchanged I came to feel that I knew her family. I send special prayers to all of that family now and wish to add that Joyce was greatly loved and will be even more greatly missed as she was a very special person. May "OUR Lord." comfort you in this time of sorrow.

I met Joyce in 1979 while she was the listing agent on the home I purchased through another agent in her office. A couple years later I ended up working in real estate at that same company. Fast forward many years and we reconnected when she worked and became good friends with my sister, Robyn Micheau. I loved Joyce's no non-sense approach to life and willing to tell you exactly what was on her mind. She was just so "matter of fact" about it all. I miss her so much already and very much enjoyed our long conversations on the phone, especially after I moved to TN. Love you Joyce and your in my prayers and knowing your out of pain and on the right hand of Jesus where you have always wanted to be.

Dear Joyce,
I'm so glad for you that your struggle is over and you are at peace in the arms of our Jesus.  How wise you were to move in with Doug, Kelly, and the boys so that you were surrounded by family.  We had some good laughs when you, me, Linda, and Maritza were out and about.  Your initial yelp when you would laugh will be so, so missed.  Playing cards at my house was a good time, too, as was our visit in December.  Hope that the Lord has a slot machine oiled and ready for you.  Love & hugs . . .

Joyce became my first step-mother when I was about 8.  Her and Dad weren't married for a very long time, but long enough to produce a son, my brother Doug.  I don't have very many memories of Joyce while growing up, but I remember thinking she was very pretty.  We saw each other just a few times through the years, and each visit was wonderful.  I reconnected with her just a few months ago and was looking forward to many more visits, but it was not meant to be.  I'm comforted to know that she was a Christian and is now resting in the arms of her Savior.  No longer suffering, but rejoicing and praising her God.  My prayers are for her family, that God will comfort them and they will draw closer to Him.

I am one of Joyce's Pogo friends, I always enjoyed talking to her on line and knew she was moving to be with her son.  May she RIP.  Her Friend\\

Joyce has been my best friend for over 30 years.  We laughed a lot, even sometimes cried. She loved Halloween and hosted several parties where we all had fun. She was could always make me laugh and to try and not take things too seriously. I will smile with the memories we shared. I love and will miss her but cherish the fact that she was my friend.
