Kathleen Krueger

Kathy was born on December 7, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Kathleen and

Edward Krueger. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree

in Home Economics, Kathy married Robert W. Voelker. Kathy and Bob had two children

and she then returned to Hood College (Frederick, MD) where she earned a Master's

Degree in Special Education. Kathy then taught in the public schools of Albuquerque,

NM and Atlanta, GA.

Kathy was very artistic. She enjoyed making crafts out of paper such as 3D decorative

cards, calendars and scrapbooks. Many of her crafts were made of wood which she cut,

assembled and intricately painted to create beautiful wall hangings. She loved animals

especially her two feline friends Mickey and Minnie.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen "Kim" Maier and her husband Martin; her son

Robert Voelker II and his wife Ingrid; her sister Judy Paschall; her grandson Robert Voelker III;

and her ex-husband Robert Voelker.

A memorial service will be held at the Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home in Merritt

Island, Florida on Saturday, October 5th at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be
