Lee Gabor-Murray, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Merritt Island on April 27, 2024. Lee was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on December 18, 1933 in the same house and in the same bed her mom was born in. Lee moved to Dayton, Ohio with her family when she was 3 years old. Lee had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved to travel, cook, read, and true crime shows. She was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Lee. She had the greatest since of humor. They were part of who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life’s challenges. Lee’s true passion was her family and she loved nothing more than being a “Nana”.
Lee was predeceased by her parents Dock and Callie Goforth, her sister, Loretta Zinnanti, her 1st husband Joseph Gabor, brother, Linwood Day, her step-daughter Sherri Lezenby, and her daughter Leanne Jewell.
She is survived by her loving husband Barry Murray, her children Tara Gabor, Joseph Gabor, Rebecca Gabor, Linda (Alan) Moros, son-in-law Gary Jewell, her grandchildren Jacob (Fiona), Dawson and Dylan Moros, her niece Susan Menendez and nephew Pat (Rosario) Zinnanti and loving great nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her family and friends. She truly loved each of them and if you knew her, you knew it. She will be missed dearly.
