Leona L. Cliett

Leona Cliett, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Born in Rock Cave, West Virginia, she came to Merritt Island in 1961. She worked many years in Brevard County in the field of finance.

She had been retired for several years and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Leona was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina; daughter-in-law, Elinor; brothers, Grover (Betty); Bobby; sisters, Ann (Robert); Neva; sisters-in-law, Gloria; Ann; brother-in-law, Angelo. She is survived by her husband, William; children, Ralph, Bill (Sandy); Fred (Susan); stepchildren Bill (Ellen); Joe (Maureen); Ellen (Mike); Susan (Maurice); brother, Bill (Ruth), and sister Martha; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Leona's life will be held on Saturday, February 12, 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Merritt Island.

In lieu of flowers, Leona's family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
