She was born in Summit, Arkansas, a small town in North Arkansas near the border of Missouri. In 1946, she moved to Yakima, Washington and in 1950 she moved with her family to Apopka, Florida where they settled and her father started a nursery growing plants for a living.
Lois graduated from Apopka High School and in 1960 she attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville, TN where she met the love of her life, Tom Breakfield III and they were married on September 14th, 1962. After some time, they established a home in Rockledge Florida where Tom worked for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center. Lois was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as a secretary for the Rockledge Church of Christ. She was very deeply involved in the Church and raising her two sons.
Lois is predeceased by her parents, Jim and Mae Moreland, her brother Wayne Moreland and her in-laws Paul and Katie Breakfield. She is survived by her husband, Tom Breakfield III, her son Tom Breakfield IV and his wife Jaime Breakfield, her son Robert Breakfield and his wife Sara Breakfield as well as her grandchildren Quinn Breakfield, Samantha Breakfield and Raegan Breakfield and her sister Judy Moreland. We would like to thank the many members of the Rockledge Church of Christ who helped with her care.
Family visitation will be on Friday January 2nd from 11:00am-Noon at Rockledge Church of Christ, and the Memorial Service will be from Noon-1pm. There will be a graveside prayer and brief service at 1:00pm at Florida Memorial Gardens on US in Rockledge, FL.
