Mark dedicated many years to the Auto Body profession and worked as a painter and welder at Kennedy Space Center. His love for the outdoors was undeniable; anything on or near the water brought him joy, whether it was fishing, boating, shrimping, or water skiing in his younger days.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amanda Smithson and Shannon Wimberly, his sister Karen Henderson (Gary), his two nieces, Lillian and Katherine Henderson, his sister Cheryl Forman (Ted) and his niece Stella, and his nephew Eric Smithson.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Carole Smithson, and his brother Jon Smithson.
Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His passion for life and the outdoors will always be remembered.

A committal service will occur Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Brevard Memorial Park, 320 Spring St, Cocoa, FL 32927.
