Michele Mason

Michele was born May 22, 1950 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Dale Eugene Carter and Joan (Roenfeldt) Carter. She was the eldest of four children. Michele spent her early childhood in Nebraska before the family relocated several times with her father’s job. She graduated from Cocoa High School and began her secretarial career at Kennedy Space Center. KSC is also where Michele met the love of her life, Jerry Mason. The two married in 1975, purchased the family home in Merritt Island, and raised four children together. Michele was a devoted mother. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, reading, and entertaining her granddaughter Shaylean. She was a lifelong Elvis fan and celebrated her 50th birthday at Graceland with her sister Christine.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Boyd.

Survivors include her parents; husband; siblings Christine Belau and Dale Carter; children Sarah, Rachel, Jacob, and Meaghan; granddaughter Shaylean; as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
