

Frances Hill, 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was born to Douglas and Ethel Hipp on September 28, 1920 in Clinton, South Carolina. She moved to Cocoa at a very young age and graduated from Cocoa High School in 1940. She married Lonnie (Sam) Hill on June 8, 1941.
She was preceded in death by Sam in 1998. They have two sons, Lonnie (Mary Ann) and Lewis (Butch) (Pam).
They owned and operated (along with their youngest son, Butch) Hill's Chevron on Florida Avenue for over 50 years.
Frances was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby Poindexter, Lyle Lavender; brothers, Lee Hipp, Gus Hipp and Elwin Hipp. Also her niece, Pam Collins.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church Sunday School Department for more than 30 years. She was the oldest living member of the Baptist Church (76 years).
Frances was a kind, loving and caring wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Besides her sons she is survived by grandchildren, Lonnie Hill, Jr. (Karen), Michael Hill (Dawn), Todd Hill (Amber) and Teri Lyn Fuller (David), Holly Miller (Jeff). Great-grandchildren, Terie Anne Hill, Bailee Hill, Alexie Hill, Matthew Hill, Michael Hill, MacKenzie McDougal, Riley McDougal, and Kayla Fuller.
Family will receive friends Thursday, January 27, 2011 from 1 - 2 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cocoa.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Cocoa or Wuesthoff Hospice.
