Alana’s life was deeply connecting and profoundly informative. Through her journey, she brought people together. Family, friends, caregivers, and even strangers created bonds rooted in compassion, advocacy, and love. Her story educated many about KCNT1 and rare disease, fostering awareness, understanding, and empathy in ways that will continue long after her passing.
Though her life included medical complexity, Alana was so much more than her diagnosis. She was known for her sweet snuggles, gentle lip smackies, and the soft grins that melted hearts. Her resilience was quiet but extraordinary, and her presence intensified the love within her home in ways that cannot be measured.
Alana taught those around her how to slow down, how to love deeply, and how to show up for one another. Because of her, many learned what true strength looks like, and many more became advocates, connected by her light.
She is deeply cherished by her parents, Lucas Adam Boone and Kali Marie Boone, and her beloved sister, Aurora, whose bond with Alana will forever be a part of who she is. Alana was, and always will be, a treasured daughter, sister, granddaughter, and teacher.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the care teams at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and to the community that surrounded Alana with unwavering love, support, and advocacy.
In honor of Alana’s life, her family will plant a tree as a living symbol of the connection, growth, and awareness she inspired. Those who wish to participate are invited to decorate a stone in her memory: each one a reflection of love, a shared lesson, or a promise to carry her story forward. Together, these stones will rest at the tree’s base, forming a circle of community around the life she continues to nurture.
A celebration of Alana’s life will be held on February 21st from 10:00am-12:00pm at her Grandma & Pop Pop’s residence, 145 W. Via de Arboles, honoring not only her memory but the connections and awareness she created.
Alana’s life mattered. Her impact was real. Her love will continue to ripple outward.
