Anne, our loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, teacher and friend, passed away after a seven month battle with cancer on January 30, 2015 in Chandler, AZ. She was born in Las Vegas NV on March 10, 1970.
Anne was always passionate about education. Ever since she was a young girl, she was always driven to be the best she could be. Anne graduated with honors from Mesa High School in 1988, graduating in the top 20 of her class. She went on to graduate from Arizona State University in 1993, earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education – Mathematics, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2014, Anne accomplished a dream of hers after receiving her Master’s Degree in Education. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2014 with high honors, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
After her graduation from Arizona State University, Anne worked for Motorola for nine years before becoming an educator. During her time at Motorola, Anne met her wife and soulmate of 20 years, Denise Hamilton.
Anne was a dedicated math teacher and coach in the Mesa Public School District for 14 years. During her career as an educator, Anne had the privilege of starting her teaching career at Kino Junior High School. While here, she also had the opportunity to coach the girls’ basketball team, a sport she was passionate about. Anne later became a Mustang educator, teaching math at Dobson High School. She enjoyed her time coaching for the high school track and field teams, mentoring track and field athletes in the shot put and discus events. Anne was given an opportunity to help and mentor seniors to graduate at another high school. She took this opportunity and became a Coyote educator, teaching for Skyline High School. Anne was especially drawn to these students as she knew she could make a difference in their future with helping them graduate by understanding and being successful in a subject that does not come easy to everyone. Anne had a talent for teaching math in many different ways, ways that all of her students could understand. Her care for her students was unlike no other. She was always proud to see her students grow, graduate, and become responsible young adults!
Anne had many hobbies. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Anne loved to hike and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of the Desert Botanical Gardens.
One of Anne’s most passionate hobbies was riding her motorcycle. She loved riding her bike, and road to some beautiful areas such as Moab, Utah, Colorado, and all over the state of Arizona. She was a member of the Desert Dames Motorcycle Group.
Anne is survived by her wife of 20 years, Denise Hamilton; her mother and stepfather Connie and Lew Early; and her father David Suiter; her sisters Kaththea and Cristina; her brother Anthony; her niece Dani and by many aunts and uncles throughout Arizona and Nevada.
As Anne always said, be proud of who you are and what you do and always live the best life you can!
