Ms. Barbara Ena Dawson

Barbara fought for as long as she could battling brain aneurysms over the last 6 years. She is survived by her children Julien Westley Vaught Jr. and Kenya Nicole Vaught (daughter-in-law), Richard Kenyatta Harvey and Kerry Harvey (daughter-in-law); her grandchildren William Harris, Rieshaad, Julio, Destiny (Sha), Kylo, Kianna and Kalia Vaught, Marcus, Brittany Mitchell, Ena, Asia, Hason, Aricaton, Mecca, Sheniqua Daniels, Darell Johnson, Devin-Anthony Maurice Harvey and great grandchildren, her sisters Florence 'Fippie' Dixon and Carol Williams, her brothers Ronald and Gerald Wolterding; She is preceded in death by her son Louis Anthony Alston 'Tony'; her daughter Juliette Mitchell; her grand daughter Jasmin Mitchell; her brothers Eric and Dennis Wolterding.

As a noun, it is described as "a woman in relationship to her child or children"

As a verb, it is described as "to bring up a child with love and affection"

I think if you knew my mother the latter would be her. The woman who loves you unconditionally from birth, the one who puts her kids before herself and the one you can count on above everyone else. All combined this is the very definition of who our mother was right, wrong or indifferent, we always knew that she loved us unconditionally and would protect us without concern for herself. She shared with us, lessons of Love, Life, Pain and Joy. She taught us how to stand head held high, only bowing to God. A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85202. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85202. A reception will occur Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 1815 South Dobson Road, Mesa, AZ 85202.
