Barbara L. Demarais, Beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with our Lord on October 14, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Demarais of 59 years of marriage and four children Belinda (Demarais) Hoyt and husband Steven, Michael Demarais and Charlie Chovil, Patricia Demarais and son, Jeff Demarais and wife Christine (Spanier). Grandchildren Jacob Estey, Victor and Dylan Hoyt and Danielle Demarais.
Barbara was born in Blacksburg, Virginia on February 23, 1935 to Dale and Helen Odham. She is survived by four sisters, Elizabeth Adams, Charlsie Williams, Thelma Jean Lafon and Betty Dickson of the Roanoke Virginia region.
Traveling, the beach, fashion and the holidays were her special interests. She will be remembered as a graceful woman who cared for others. She looked forward to her annual trip with her daughters to Las Vegas.
The family will mourn her passing in private and plan to Celebrate her Life with family and friends on February 23, 2014 at the Mesa Verde Room at 2615 South Farnsworth Drive in Sunland Village East in Mesa, Arizona. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, Mesa, AZ.
