Barbara Kathryn Guffey, 77, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away surrounded by family on September 12th, 2023.
Barbara was born on January 1, 1946 to Garvin and Harriette McDonald in Portland, Maine. Her father was in the army and she lived in several places, both in and out of the country, throughout her entire childhood.
After Barbara graduated from Lawton High School in 1964, she went on to study business at Cameron State Agricultural College, Phoenix College and The Eastern Indiana Center of Earlham. She had a long and thriving career with Banner Health for nearly 40 years retiring as a Senior Database Analyst.
Barbara was predeceased by her father Garvin McDonald and her mother Harriette McDonald. She is survived by her sister Brenda, her brother Gary, her brother Larry, her son Michael, her daughter Danielle, and her 3 grandchildren: Maddie, Abbie, and Sydney.
Barbara was the heart of her family and is described as selfless, caring, loving, and kind by all who had the honor of knowing and loving her.
The family will hold a private celebration of her life in her home.
