Buck began his water well drilling career in 1937. In 1955 he founded his own firm, Weber Well Drilling Company. Buck drilled large diameter wells for agriculture, municipal supply, utilities, and land developments. He was a founding director and first president of the Arizona Water Well Association. He also was the developer of Firebird Lake.
Buck traveled to Peru and Santo Domingo in 1965 as a consultant for Roscoe Moss Company of Los Angeles. This association with RMC led to the formation of Moss-Weber, Inc. The partnership lasted until 1980 when Buck retired.
Old habits die hard so Buck soon resumed work, offering deep well photography and rehabilitation of existing wells, as Buck Weber & Associates. After 65 years in the business and being involved with over 9,000 wells, at 86 years of age, it was time to retire again.
Buck is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Mary; son, Bernie; 4 grandsons, Kevin, Lance, Marty and Bryan; and 12 great grandchildren; preceded in death by son, Donald.
