Betty Mae Johnson passed away on March 4, 2012, in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Moscow, Idaho, to Benjamin Harrison and Frances Elizabeth (Buckalew) Weatherby on February 17, 1932. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty had a strong desire in serving God and sharing the Good News with anyone she was given an opportunity to share. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Johnson, and children, Rickie Elaine (Steve) Ross, Ronnie Eileen (Richard) Richey, Frances Elizabeth (Doug) Fugate, and Jacqueline Evelyn (Randy) Arrington; her brother, Ben Weatherby and sister, Goldie Freeman; 15 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin Harrison and Frances Elizabeth (Buckalew) Weatherby, brothers: Thomas Weatherby, Xena Weatherby, and Gerald Weatherby; sisters: Ruby Flatt, Sarah Weatherby, and Opal Paul, and 2 grandchildren: Richard Benjamin Richey and Betty Mae Ketterling. A Celebration of Life honoring Betty will be held at East Valley Church of the Nazarene, 127 North Signal Butte Road, Apache Junction, Arizona 85120. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial offering can be given to East Valley Church of the Nazarene.
