He was born in Valders, WI on November 25th, 1944, and graduated from Valders HS in 1962. He then served in the Air Force from 1962-1966. After his time in the military, he attended The University of New Mexico and graduated with a Bachelor's degree. It was at UNM that he met his wife Karen and they we married on December 27th, 1969. He was retired from the Arizona State Lottery in 2004, but still kept busy working as a security guard at night until 2022.
He leaves behind his children Jennifer Whalen (Brad), Eric Christianson (Karen) and grandchildren, Brandon Adair, Raye Jones, Ashleigh Adair, Mia Whalen and Alex Christianson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Karen and his parents Ray and Anna Christianson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in December, more details to follow.
