It's with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to David, known as Dave to his friends and family. He passed away peacefully, at home and in his bed, early morning of July 14, 2025, at the age of 80. He still oversees his beautiful wife, Rosemary ("Toots" to him), of 57 years, having met in England, during his service there. Also leaving two sons, David and Tim, and three brothers, Paul, Tom, and Barry.
Dave served his country for 27 years in the United States Air Force. After attending Officer Training School, he advanced in rank to Captain. He lived a life grounded in unwavering service, honor, and integrity. His deep commitment to the values of freedom, unity, and duty reflected everything he believed the United States stands for, and he carried those principles into every part of his life. Dave was also scholarly, obtaining a Bachelor's degree from Weber State University in Utah and a Master's in Political Science from the University of Southern California in the United Kingdom program.
Dave loved life, his wife, sons, brothers, family, friends, traveling (specifically cruises), doughnuts, and chili cheese dogs. His values were steadfast, and he was always there for guidance, a smile, and a good laugh.
A celebration of life will be held at Lakeshore Mortuary at 1815 South Dobson Road in Mesa, on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 12 noon.
In place of flowers, Dave would request a donation to the Disabled Veterans Association.
