Carolyn Jean Vosseller

Vosseller, Carolyn Jean (McDonald) 73 passed into the loving arms of the Almighty on December 29th after a courageous struggle with multiple myeloma. Born in Glendale to Elmer & Gladys McDonald, Carolyn was proud of her native state. She attended elementary through high school in Glendale and received her elementary education degree from ASU in 1965. Her love for small children was very abundant as she taught 3rd grade for 2 years at Laird Elementary in Tempe and later 25 years for Dayspring Preschool and Kindergarten, where she retired in 2007. She met Bob at ASU and married in 1965. Her priorities were her family and friends. She loved to travel and did so frequently.

Carolyn is survived by Bob, her husband of 48 years, son Brent(Diana), daughters Michele and Erin, grand children Jacob & Viktoria, sisters Roberta Kosier and Norma Davis, brother Lowell(Elberta). She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley. A public viewing will held on Thursday, January 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 at Lakeshore Mortuary at 1815 S. Dobson Rd Mesa, with a private, family-only funeral on Friday.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, January 4th at St. Matthew United Methodist Church located at 2540 W. Baseline Rd, Mesa. The family prefers casual dress and it is open to everyone. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to either Arizona Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks, PO Box 27872, Tempe, AZ 85285 or Dayspring Preschool & Kindergarten, 1365 E. Elliot Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284.
