Charles Richard Chilson

Born March 30, 1942, in Glens Falls, New York, he was the son of Charles Rich and Iva May Chilson.

Charlie grew up in Hudson Falls, New York and graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1960. Charlie married the love of his life, Sandra Ann Buswell, on August 6, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward, New York. Charlie worked at Finch Pruyn from 1962 up until his retirement in 1996 after many years of hard work and dedication.

Charlie cherished time with his family first and foremost. Charlie also enjoyed golf, motorcycles, and spending time with his dogs. He will be remembered as a strong man who believed in hard work, dedication and never giving up. He was truly a great man.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Chilson of Mesa, Arizona; his sister, Inez Hunter of Christchurch, New Zealand; two daughters, Theresa Blanchard of South Glens Falls, New York and Sherrie Chilson-Avery of Gilbert, Arizona; his son, Charles J. Chilson of South Glens Falls, New York; six grandchildren; Jessica Blanchard of Salt Lake City, Utah; Alicia Blanchard, Avery and Lauren Chilson all of South Glens Falls, New York, and Connor and Madison Avery of Gilbert, Arizona.
