Curtis J. Burr, 80, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on April 8, 2014. He was born in Rozet, Wyoming on July 5, 1933. Curtis graduated from Campbell County High School. He was a member of the Dept. of the Pacific Marine Corps Band and served in Korea. Curtis married Doris Drown in Sheridan, Wyoming January 2nd, 1955. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Wyoming. Curtis was a man of many trades including owning many businesses, teaching, directing bands, playing in dance bands and even building roads. He had a passion for music, piloting and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris Burr; four children, Kevin (Beverly) Burr, Keith Burr, Kari (Mark) Gresko, Kyle (Michele) Burr; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Rob) Tutokey, Tera Tillman, Ryan (Katie) Burr, Devin Burr, Paul (Adrienne) Gillett, Bryce (Caitlin) Gillett, Mariah Gresko, Karsen Burr ; seven great grandchildren, Jessica, Hailey, Zackary, Rylee, Isabella, Paul Jr., and Leah; as well as four older surviving siblings, Evelyn Fisher, Leslie Burr, Walter Burr, Kenneth Burr. No services are scheduled at this time. The family will have a family and friends gathering at a later time.
