David A Johnson

David graduated from Manchester High School Central in 1957. After graduating, he went to work for Raytheon, where he met his future wife Erna, and married her in 1962. He then went to work for Public Service of NH, working for 20 years and retiring in 1985 as a Line Supervisor. In addition to his Public Service job, he was also on call as a firefighter for the East Derry NH Fire Department.

David and Erna had two daughters, Karin and Kerstin, and after David’s retirement, and the girl’s graduations from high school, moved the family to Arizona. David worked for Fountain Hills School District for 10 years, and completed his career, working for Mesa Public Schools for 11 years.

David also served in the Army as a truck driver on active duty for one year, and in the National Guard for four years.

David was preceded in death by his wife Erna and his brother George W. Johnson Jr. He is survived by his daughters Karin Grove and Kerstin Marshall; his grandchildren Kacey Weir, Shelbey Marshall, Nathan and Megan Grove.

A memorial service will be held on October 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Love of Christ Lutheran Church located at 1525 N. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ 85205, where he is a member.

In lieu of flowers, he would like donations sent to the Arizona Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
