

It is with deep pain and unfathomable sadness that the family of Demitri Ferrell Mustaca announces his sudden and tragic passing. Born to Brandy Mustaca - Johnson and Buckley J. Johnson on May 22, 1997 in Mesa, Arizona. Demitri "Meech" passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the young age of 20, in San Rafael, California. He is survived by his parents, Brandy Jo Mustaca and Buckley J. Johnson; sister, Mia Alexis Mustaca; nana, Lisa Mustaca; uncles, Joe, Gio and Garrett Mustaca; cousins, Anthony, Drew, Xander and Emelia Mustaca; aunts, Wendy, Casey, and Heather; as well as many more family members and friends. He was preceded in death by one of the most influential people of his life, his poppy, Joseph A. Mustaca Sr.; as well as two great grandmothers, Maria Mustaca and Evelyn Ralston. Demitri grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. As a little boy, he enjoyed many family trips to Disneyland. He always loved the trips to California and time on the beaches of California. He developed a real love and connection to the beaches of California. As a preteen, the family relocated to Payson, Arizona where he enjoyed exploring the woods of the Gila County Forest while shooting and fishing with his grandfather, Uncle Joe and cousins. He was also a gifted athlete. He loved shooting hoops with uncles Gio and Garrett. Demitri had a smile that could light up a room. He was fun, loving, smart, handsome, confident and charismatic. Demitri was always the life of the party. He made friends everywhere he went. He was all heart when it came to friends and family and he gave all of his love to those he cherished, number one being his little sister, Princess Mia. As a young adult the family moved to Gilbert, Arizona. Meech became one of the most influential members of his family. He had a true passion for music. He was always listening to music, no matter what he was doing or where he was at. He really enjoyed seeing his favorite bands live at concerts and festivals. He always kept his older family members up to date with the newest songs out in his favorite style of music or new trends in clothing. His love for California finally moved him west to San Francisco, only a month before he passed away. He even got to catch a show where the remaining members from The Grateful Dead played. There won't be a day that passes without you in our thoughts. Until we join you in paradise… I love you MORE!
