

Diane was born January 24, 1931 in Marysville, Kansas, the daughter of Lloyd and Lillian Darner.
She moved to Clay Center, Kansas in 1946 when her parents purchased the Flick restaurant which later becomes Darner’s Diner. She married George Dewey Henry in 1948 and became a military wife when he joined the Air Force in 1951. Together they raised a family of 4 sons and she supported Dewey in a 20 year career. At their retirement in 1971 Diane received a book honoring her help and support over that 20 years. During the early years Diane worked part time and in 1966 she started working at JC Penney’s. During her career she advanced through the ranks and served in management for several years before retiring in 1986. Preceding her in death is her Father Lloyd Darner, Mother Lillian Darner, Brother Dennis Darner and brother-in-law Duane Sanneman. Diane is survived by her husband George Henry, four sons and their wives, Dewey Lynn & Dee Henry of Oak Ridge TN, Dana & Cindy Henry of Dayton OH, Dennis & Debbie Henry of Dayton OH and Mark & Shelley Henry of Gilbert AZ. She is also survived by 12 grand children and 12 great grand children. In addition is survived by sister-in-laws Marjorie Sanneman and Janice Craig and her husband Ralph Craig.
