Don Roger Chaffin

Don Roger Chaffin, born March 24, 1933 in Zanesville, OH to William Lester and Dorothy Olive [Willison], Chaffin, passed away on December 9, 2013 at the age of 80. Roger was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a Missile Manufacturing Planner. He enjoyed many interests throughout his life such as motorcycles and as a private pilot, he enjoyed flying; he also had a love for music and played guitar, the organ and harmonica. His other interests include hunting, flying RC planes and on Saturday’s went yard sales shopping with his daughter, Tina. Roger married his loving wife, Mary L Chaffin on October 7, 1954, spending the next 59 years together and raising two children. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his son William Alan Chaffin, who passed away on June 13, 2002 and is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter Tina Monroe; brother Larry (Linda) Chaffin; his grandchildren Shannon McEachin, Chad Chaffin, Ryan Monroe and Donny Chaffin; great grandchildren Devin Monroe, Samantha Chaffin, Emily McEachin, Jesse Monroe, Ethan Garza and Rylea Monroe as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
