

Born on November 20, 1925 in Garfield, Idaho, Dottie was a very talented and unique individual with a strong spirit and wonderful smile. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who lit up a room with her presence. No one was a stranger to Dottie. She enveloped everyone she met with generosity, kindness, and love. As a professional ballroom dancer, she taught dance for over 60 years and earned the bronze, silver, and gold ballroom dance teaching certification. Dottie was instrumental in founding a variety of organizations and started Dottie's School of Dance in Leisure World. She was a Leisure World resident for 25+ years and served a 3 year LDS church mission in Hawaii with her late husband, Pat, in the 80's. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Pat Patterson.
Dottie married Larry Jarvis in 2008. He adored her and she brought great joy to his life. Dottie is survived by her husband, Larry Jarvis, and her children: Rod, David, Sheila, Randy, Lani, Kelly, and Curtis; 28 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 am, with a funeral service at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 25 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Century Gardens Ward, 633 S.
