Elisia "Lisa" Granado Smith was 80 years old when she passed away on January 10th, 2025. Lisa was the eldest of four children, born to Juanita and John Granado in Gilbert, AZ, on January 8th, 1945. Her death is preceded by her sisters Mary Lou, Hermania, and John.
Lisa met and married the love of her life, Earl Luther "Smitty" Smith, in 1966, and they married on January 10th, 1967. They remained devoted to one another until Smitty's passing in 1985. In her husband's memory, she continued running Smitty's Pest Control for almost 35 years, rising each morning and visiting customers around the Valley, from Avondale to Gilbert, Peoria, to Tolleson. Lisa worked tirelessly day after day. Lisa was always ready to ask about someone's children or grandchildren and enjoyed talking with her customers, who often grew into long-time friends and family. She became a fixture in their lives, and over the years, she watched them and their children grow, move away, and return with their own children.
Lisa loved caring for those around her. She always made the time to ask about your day or how you were doing and listened with a quiet smile or ready advice. Her home was always a place where one could go and know they would be welcomed.
Lisa left a lasting mark on everyone who met her. She is greatly missed and will never be forgotten by her two sons, Earl "Lloyd" and Daniel "Danny" Smith, her eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and countless others fortunate to know her.
A funeral service for Elisia will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Advantage Melcher Chapel of the Roses, 43 South Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204.
