Evelyn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 10, 1926.
At an early age she learned how to play the accordion and was featured on a local radio station. Evelyn graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indiana where she met her sweetheart Kenneth Sears. They were married on April 26, 1944 before he left to go overseas for two years during WWII. When he returned in 1946 they started a family. They moved with their four children in 1959 to Arizona.
Evelyn had a passion for painting and has left several paintings to her family, which will live on forever.
Evelyn is survived by her four children, Pamela Felstead, Deborah Thome, Terran Parker, and Timothy Sears.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother to thirteen children, a great grandmother to thirty and a great great grandmother to seven and another on the way. Evelyn loved her big family.
We will all miss her very much.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care.
