

beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Fran is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Sarah Galasso, her brother Sam Galasso, and her
sisters Peggy Recktenwald and Heidi Muth. She is survived by her husband, Lary Larson, and her children
Tara, Brent, Ashley, Scott, Amy, Darla, Nathan, Rebecca, and Drew. She also leaves behind numerous
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings Teresa, Karen, and John, and many cousins, nieces, and
nephews.
A graduate of Saint Matthias Catholic School, Fran was active in sports and music programs. She earned
her higher education from Arizona State University and a Master of Education in Counseling and Human
Relations from Northern Arizona University. Fran dedicated most of her adult life to raising her family
and volunteering at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she enjoyed scouting, teaching
the youth and ministering to her fellow sisters in the ward. She had a deep love for family history and
learning.
The funeral service will be held on June 28, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
chapel, located at 2520 E Old West Hwy, Apache Junction, AZ 85119. Viewing will begin at 1 PM,
followed by the service at 2:30 PM. She will be interred at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park in Mesa, AZ.
