Irma Lopez Pisano, age 77, loving mother of four, and adoring wife to husband Napoleon O. Pisano, passed away in the early hours of January 4th, 2023, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Irma was born on October 21st, 1945, in Nogales, Mexico and moved to Coolidge Arizona when she was 4 years old. While living in Coolidge she met Napoleon and they became high school sweethearts and celebrated 53 years of marriage on December 20th, 2022.
Irma proudly spoke of her family restaurant, the Sunset Café in Coolidge, Az where she worked with her siblings and her mother (owner), Bernadina Lopez. In high school Irma was a cheerleader, fastpitch softball pitcher, and belonged to several clubs. It was during this time that she and Napoleon began there 60-year relationship. Napoleon and Irma would eventually move to Mesa, Az to start their own family. Irma spent the following years raising her 4 children along side Napoleon and working for the Mesa Public School system. Irma was active with community and volunteered for many non-profit organizations. Irma was most proud of her children who she loved and cherished.
Irma Pisano was predeceased by her brothers Humberto Bonfiglio and Marcos Bonfiglio. Irma Pisano is survived by her husband Napoleon Pisano, sisters Elba Bonfiglio, and Mary Helen Lopez, and her 4 children Alexandria Peterson (husband Sibert), Erika Pisano (husband Oscar), Myra Proano (husband Pete) and Braulio Pisano (wife Opal). Irma Pisano is survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
There will be a service for those who would like to say their last goodbye to Irma at All Saints Catholic Church; 1534 N. Recker Rd Mesa, Az 85205, January 14th at 10am, all are welcome.
