James R. Beene, 89, born January 20, 1922 in Chattanooga, TN passed away on August 3, 2011 to be with our Lord. Preceded in death by our Mom, (Hilda) and great-grand daughter Shelby René. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Military Policeman. He worked as a civil engineer for the US Forest Service and retired with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1987. He enjoyed reading and studying the word of God, fishing, computer, playing guitar and singing. He is survived by his daughters Jeannette (David) Dunlap and Tina (Steve) McLellan; brother John (Sally) Beene; grandchildren John, James, Jason, Carissa, Rodger, René, and Isaac; and 13 great-grandchildren.
