This online memorial page and open guest book, along with all of it's entries will be no longer be available to view by the 7th of February, 2016. This is the date of expiration for this page. My family has chosen not to renew it. 

With that said, I would like to take this moment to thank everybody that took the time to post a comment and offer their condolences and/or offer a kind word. Even though most of you will not see this message before the guest book is no longer available for viewing, I know that you will be able to feel it.

Jason leaving this world so quickly and unexpectedly the way that we did has totally shaken and rocked our family to the core.  It has been a very difficult and heart wrenching journey that has left each of us (in the immediate family) forever changed. His passing has left a deep void in our hearts that can never totally be filled. That void now owns that space in our hearts.  

Each one of the entries that have been entered onto this site has helped in the slow process of recovering from the shock and coming to terms with the grief from the incredible depth of our loss. 

Although we will never totally 'get over it' as the saying goes, please know that each of you have played a part in the healing process for us with your kind words, thoughts and prayers.   

Personally, I know that Jason is watching over his family. I feel his presence often and I know that he is in a place where he is now pain free and knows only peace and beauty. I breaks my heart that peace and beauty are things that he knew so little of during his adult life, mostly due to the debilitating illness that he suffered from. Knowing that he knows only peace and beauty at this point and that the illness that robbed him of so much of his life no longer has the power to impact his life or bring him pain ever again, brings me a bit of comfort and helps in the process of accepting what has come to be.  Jason will be deeply missed, always thought of and never forgotten.

Once again, I thank each and every one of you that took the time to make an entry into this guest book over this past year.

It is always said our children are not supposed to go before us.  In this case Jason was needed somewhere else more than he was here.  May he be happy. For us who knew him he was loved. We will hold those memories in our hearts.

Kurt and I understand your pain, as we have lived through similar circumstances ourselves.  Our sincere compassion is accompanied by our understanding that we are feeling for all of you.

When you look up and gaze into the Arizona Sky and out onto the Sonoran Desert; remember the flying humming birds that feed from one flower to the next...   
Remember that like the humming bird, Jason's spirit is finally free

When you hear this song, know that the words are a message that brings great comfort to my heart; and I hope that it will bring the same to you and your family as well.

Jason and I spent countless hours together in elementary school and were inseparable at periods of time.  I remember playing space invaders (full arcade game) at his house, flying kites in front of his house and about 10000 games of chess.  I am so sorry for the loss.

I knew Jason as a child in grade school.  I am so saddened at hearing this.  I still picture him as that fun kid I liked hanging out so much with.  Have a peaceful ride old friend, can't wait to see you again.

I have taken a couple of days to decide what to write because I'm sorry for your loss or I love you just don't seem enough. While thinking these days I've come to realize that there really aren't words to express what I feel or think or what you are all going through. 
May I only say that in your sorrow you should also smile for the opportunity to have had Jason in your lives. Both your lives and his were richer for it. Through the sadness I pray that you one day wake up and find yourself smiling at a memory of the joy he brought to your lives. For that is when you pay him the greatest tribute of all, when the joy of the life you had with him outweighs the sadness you feel now. Know that I love you all and will be here for you now and forever
