

Jeffery Mark Goldberg passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2023, in Phoenix, AZ. Originally born and raised in South Haven, MI. Jeff moved to El Paso, TX in the late 1970s where he met and married his wife, Ruthie, and raised their two beautiful children, Andrew and Amanda. In 2017, Jeff and Ruth moved to Chandler, AZ after his heart transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. This gift of life gave Jeff 6 very special bonus years with his family.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Pearl and Irving Goldberg, of South Haven, MI.
Jeff was born on March 17th,1952. He graduated from L. C. Mohr high school, South Haven, MI in 1970. He attended college at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI, where he graduated in 1974 with a degree in Communications.
Because of his passion for music and entertainment, Jeff worked as a radio disc jockey throughout high school and college. After college, Jeff was hired by WKMI radio station in Kalamazoo where he was a very popular drive-time DJ known as Jeff Mark. In 1979, his undeniable talents brought him to KINT-98 in El Paso, Texas and later to KOFX 92.3. His career evolved to include advertising along with voice talent and audio and visual production for many years. He and his business partners Brian Kennedy and Chris Kinane opened Ballyhoo Studios! in 1999, where he produced scores of local and some national radio and TV spots. Jeff was recognized for his writing and editing talents and was considered an industry leader in El Paso. Jeff’s accomplishments continued through the years to include productions for many high-profile clients to include Disney, Walmart, Mcdonald's, and many more. Jeff was a mentor and inspiration to many in the radio and production world for over 30 years. Jeff also had a passion for writing scripts and screenplays. He took great pleasure in walking his dog Arrow, his closest furry friend. He enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandsons. Jeff also loved grilling and had a weakness for dessert.
To mourn his passing, Jeff leaves his wife Ruthie, daughter Amanda, son Andrew (Jessica), and grandsons Jack (10) and Tanner (5). Brother Paul (Stephanie) of Nashville TN, and sister Debra (Kevin) of South Haven, MI. Jeff also leaves a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and many, many friends who will miss him dearly.
