I had the pleasure of working with Jerry for 2 years and he is responsible for getting me started in the classroom.  I am indebted to him for his confidence in me as a first year teacher all those moons ago.  He will be missed.

What I will miss the most about Jerry is his friendly smile and contagious giggle.  I feel very fortunate to have been hired twice by Jerry to teach at Nathan Hale and then at Robson. He recognized students' accomplishments by personally delivering his famous PRINCIPAL'S AWARD to deserving students every week of the year!  Jerry was one of the principals who allowed teachers to work part-time so that we were able to spend extra time with our own little ones during their formative years.  He felt that family comes first, and that if you're happy at home, then you'll be happy at work. And we were! He always had such great vision and purpose and was admired and respected by students, staff, and the community.

Jerry was a wonderful principal and neighbor. He was always smiling and positive and quick to share an encouraging word. He and Nat were wonderful neighbors and invited us for Thanksgiving when our house wasn't finished.

I have many good memories of working for Jerry in the 80's and 90's.  He always called me Roxie with his teasing.  I didn't care.  They were fun years and the plus was becoming good friends with Nat.  The stories about the two of us I could still tell.  I now will miss them both, but am glad they are now back together again.

I had the privilege of working with Jerry in education for over 25 years.  He was the kind of leader who knew what you were capable of, helped you to see what you were capable of, and then let you do what you were capable of.  I loved the staff family he created at Hale and at Robson, where I met many of my most cherished friends.  I will treasure always the special memories I have of him: laughing at our crazy teacher antics in the hall through his office window; going along with the joke when 8 of us teachers called in "sick" from Mrs. Seacat's (Bert's) cabin; forgiving me when I ordered a gross of a gross [instead of 1 gross] of school pencils that lasted 10+ years; happily sharing Brigitte Bardot's birthday [!]; and so on, and so on.  Thank you, Jerry!  I'll be forever grateful you were in my life.

Your father was one of my heros when we were younger.  He loved sports and was so much on the ball and I really looked up to him.  He was a great cousin and will be sorely missed (Jerry's cousin, Philip)

Jerry Edwards was always encouraging of his staff. He created vision and helped everyone on his staff to share in the work that was "ours". With Jerry as a mentor leader he helped us see more value and potential within ourselves. 
We are better for having known Jerry Edwards.

Jerry hired me at Robson when I was young and inexperienced. He believed in me and was an amazing leader and mentor. He always gave me a hard time when Miami of Ohio would beat my Iowa Hawkeyes in football! I will be forever grateful for all Jerry did for me.  He will be missed by many.

How very much I loved the pictures.  Brought back so many happy memories.  Especially Jerry & his brothers & Aunt Kate's 3 boys on the couch.  They all 6 were raised like brothers.  Some of my fondest memories were down on the farm with Jerry & his family.  I am the oldest of the cousins. Jerry probably has his arms around his beloved wife Nat right now.  RIP..we will miss you so.

I will  remember your Dad for always having that great smile, and for always being positive and encouraging to others.He was a good story teller and had a great sense of humor. It was evident how much he loved all of you, and Logan, his grandaughter, being the apple of his eye. He loved and cared about all of his family. You are all in our prayers.
