At a very young age of about 2 and a half years old with his baby sister Lois, about 16 months was abandoned by his biological parents. After being foster children until about 9 years of age, he and Lois were taken in by the Huber family. He has always been grateful and loved this family for what they have given him in his young years.
He was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, and attended a year at the University of Maryland. Joseph was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving 4 years. He Married Marcella S. Flores in 1971 and after 4 children enlisted in the United States National Guard where he served for 2 years.
Joe was blessed to have worked from the beginning 1968 at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, California,
where he met his wife as she was his mailman, to Hughes Helicopters, to McDonnell Douglas in California, then he was transferred to Mesa, Arizona with Boeing Aerospace Company.
After 30 years and into retirement, Joe and wife Marci, took to the roads in a 2016 Montana 5th wheel. Mostly enjoying Arizona, until the last 2 years, when we visited Bryce Canyon in Southern Utah, enjoying the cooler summers. Therefore we worked a few hours a day in the gifts shops.
Joe had a sense of humor that brought people to like him very much and looked forward to hear the funny stories he had just about everything that was being talked about. He was sincere in his friendships and always willing to help where needed. Joseph was a dedicated husband, father and loved being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because he loved the Lord with all his heart. He has resided in Mesa for 38 years where he now has passed on into the eternities to live a new happy life.
He will be missed and is survived by his wife Marci and his children Audri S. DeBoef, Gisella E. Pomonis, Tyler J. Myers, Ryan J. Myers, and his sister Sherrie Huber Ehrlich. Surviving Grandchildren: Collin DeBoef, Camlyn DeBoef, Mackenzi Stein, Dylan Myers, Kaydence Myers and Lucas Myers.
