

The world lost a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Karen Rose Jaskowski on Friday, November 12th from kidney failure. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald “Jerry” Jaskowski. Karen was born on May 13, 1944 in Barton, Wisconsin. A graduate of Alverno College and The University of Phoenix, Karen worked as a 1st grade teacher at Mount Carmel Catholic School, retiring in 2004. She had a strong passion for her cabin in the Arizona Mountains and for knitting and playing cards with family and friends.
Family was very important to her. Her memory will live on through her daughters, Janet and son-in-law, Cameron Marino, Linda and son-in law, Rob Zelms and son Steve, and daughter-in-law Diane. She was the proud grandmother to Andrew Marino, Kaelie, Jaden and Alexa Zelms, and Ryan, Rachel and Dillon Jaskowski. Besides her children and grandchildren, Karen is survived by her brother Ron Kurowski, wife Kathryn Kurowski and nephews, Patrick, Daniel and Timothy Kurowski, her sister Nancy Tullis and nieces Christy and Kimberly Tullis and nephew Jeff Tullis. She cared for her friends developing long lasting deep rooted friendships. Her love and joy brightened our world. You will be forever missed!

Karen pushed the importance of education and loved watching her granddaughters cheer at high school football games. The money will be used for a scholarship for one senior recipient.
