Kathleen L. Brennan (nee Riddle) “Kathy” was born on May 3, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest of four children to Robert Riddle and Mary Lou Leydon Riddle. Kathy grew up in Folcroft, Pennsylvania and graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1968. On October 31, 1971 she relocated to Southern California. On August 6, 1973 she gave birth to her first child, a daughter Denise Kathleen Brennan. She gave birth to her second daughter Kelly Lynn Brennan on October 25, 1977. While her children were growing up, she stayed home to raise them. She and her family relocated once again to Mesa, Arizona on July 4, 1983. She entered Nursing School at Mesa Community College, where she graduated with honors in December of 1993. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in February of 1994 at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital.
She was a bright, charismatic woman with a flair for drama. She was a very talented artist. She always sent out the most beautiful hand made cards for birthdays and holidays. She painted the most beautiful oil paintings; many of which are displayed in the homes of her family and friends. She had a great love for angels; her family is comforted in knowing she now flies with them.
She is survived by her three sisters: Peggy Apostol, Mae (Robert) Bull, Nancy (Mark Knourek) Riddle; daughters Denise (Jarod) Ridgway and Kelly Brennan; granddaughters Sara and Katherine Ridgway. She will be greatly missed by her niece Kaitlin Apostol and nephew Nicholas Knourek.
A celebration of her life will be at 6:30 pm on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, which is located at 6747 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, AZ 85206 with vistitation starting at 6:00 pm..
