U.S. Army Specialist, Kegan Ray Green, stationed at Fort Rucker, passed away October 8, 2020 in Newton, Alabama. He was born October 20, 1994 at Mesa Lutheran Hospital in Mesa, Arizona. Kegan attended Apache Junction High School (AJHS) where he was Co-Team Captain for the Apache Junction Prospectors football team playing as offensive and defensive tackle. He graduated in 2013 and remained on after graduation, to help coach the team. In addition to playing football, Kegan enjoyed watching football, The Trailer Park Boys and cat videos. Kegan smiled, laughed and delighted in being as goofy as he could be. He enjoyed anything and everything from the being in the Army, outdoors, shooting and target practice, music, getting tattoos and just being with his friends. Being a country boy at heart, Kegan loved trucks and riding his Harley Davidson; he was planning to be part of the Legion Riders after leaving the military. Kegan is survived by his mother, Veronica “Roni” Thompson; his father, Charles (Lori) Green; his sister, Heidi (Ron Dignan) Green; brothers, Chuck (Nikki) Green and Danny Green as well as his nieces and nephews, Zachariah, Nathaniel, Hannah, Isaac, Caliana and Charlie.
