

Kenneth Isaac Brenner (age 100) of Mesa, Arizona died August 27, 2024 at The Summit at Sunland Springs. He was born to parents Arthur and Polly Brenner on August 14, 1924 in St Joseph County, Centreville, Michigan. Following an enlistment in the Army Air Corps, he attended Albion College before transferring to the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1951 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. While attending Albion College, he met and married his wife Patricia Painter Howe. They were married from 1948 until her death in 2018.
Ken was employed from 1951 until his retirement in 1985 by the Electric Power Division of the Sundstrand Corporation. Ken was a member of the Rockford, Illinois First Evangelical Free Church and of the Friendship Sunday School class. Ken served on the church’s usher committee, youth council, and nominating committees.
Ken is survived by his sons; David (Lynn) Brenner, Brooks (Kari) Brenner, Jonathan (Susan) Brenner, and Robin (Sylvia) Brenner, grandchildren; Andrea, Jonathan James “JJ” (Taylor), Michelle (Mark), Julia (Caleb), Patricia (Jimmy), Gordon Benjamin (Katy), Loren (Michael), Kenneth (Katy), Christopher (Melissa), great-grandchildren; Arianna, Maxwell, Rudy, Theodore, Winnie, Clementine, Tirzah, Nola, Callia, Ezra, Cara, Melody, Madison, Taylor, Lucas, Adrian, and Lucas and brother Donald.
Ken was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Patricia, brothers Roy and Eugene, sisters Lucille, Marcelle, Lydia, & Dorothea, daughter Polly, her husband Gordy and grandson Richard Ralston.
Ken and Patricia will be laid to rest privately at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Marshall Michigan.
