we knew him and those deeds are never forgotten.

Our thoughts are with Louise and Debbie today. We speak often of Ken and remember the many good times we all had together. He was a kind and selfless man who always thought of others first.  It was a privilege to call him a friend.

I came to work for Mr. Pfau in 1992 straight out of college.  He was a wonderful boss and mentor. I am glad that I had the privilege to get to know him.  May God bless  and comfort the Pfau family.   He will always be in my memories.

May the Pfau family find comfort and peace in all the good and happy memories Mr. Ken (as I called him) left behind. I worked for/with him at Fort Huachuca AZ decades ago; I truly thank him (and feel fortunate) for allowing me to be a  Passenger on his Train of Life.  Rest in peace, Sir.

To the Pfau family:
I was saddened to hear of Ken's passing.  I met Ken in 1982 when I was just 20 years old.  We worked together at ISEC until he retired.  He was always so pleasant to work with.  He was such a kind person.  After his retirement, my daughter and I often visited Ken and Louise during Girl Scout cookie season.  Ken and Louise lived around the corner from my mother.  They also knew my mother.  I remember once  that Ken found my mother's mail in his bushes.  Someone had gotten into her mail box and threw it in their bushes when they didn't find any cash.

I will miss Ken.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  Denise, JT and Sydney Tidwell

 


Mark and I send our sad and caring thoughts to you and your family.  We are so sad to hear of his passing.  Ken was Mark's co-worker and a dear friend to both of us. We will be thinking of you at this sad time and hope that you find comfort and smiles in the memories that you hold in your heart.  He will be missed by us all.

Ken was a wonderful friend  and neighbor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a meal. Over the years our families shared many wonderful meals together. We are all the richer for knowing Ken, his lovely wife Louise and devoted daughter Debora.

My thoughts are with you both. I have very fond memories of the great support and positive spirit shared by your parents as they put up with all of our band adventures growing up.

It is with a heavy heart I write this note.  Ken was my first boss when I started working almost 36 years ago.  We forged a great friendship throughout the many years.  He was my mentor and confidant when I needed guidance, and my close friend when I needed to talk.  I’ll never forget Ken’s calming and soft-spoken demeaner.  I will cherish my memories of him as a coworker and friend.  I pray that God comforts you through this difficult time.

It is with heavy hearts that we send our condolences to you both.  We will always be thankful to Dorothy and Al for introducing us to Ken and to you Louise.  Ken treated us like family when we visited and you both made us welcome in what we considered our second home.  His kindness, generosity and illuminating smile enriched our lives and will never be forgotten.  Our memories of Ken are uplifting and joyous and help ease the sorrow of his passing.

Louise & Deb - there are so many memories that we hold dear, I guess the biggest would be when he came to Cavalier as “our mutual” witness when Charlie and I were getting our marriage license, and with the straightest face ever, told the Clerk of Court that, yes he could vouch for Charlie, but he wasn’t sure about “her”, and as was his way a silent pause, then the laugh......the pictures he took of our family in 1975 to include our Doberman, Candy.  The fun he had with Yolanda, “Lonnie” teasing her and she would chastise him in her little voice, “oh that Ken Pfau” (that she learned from Louise by the way) and he would get the biggest laugh out of that.  His TDY trips to GA and MD and we would get to see him and go places, we even took him to see Kenny Rogers once in GA, Louise, you even came along one time, to PA, oh what fun we had! 
The pictures he took of my parents farm when he and his brother were “flying around” one winter, mean a lot to us. 
A call to him in panic when our paper boy put our water hose in the tank of our van and filled it with water and watered the street, Ken was there right away to take care of it for me. Charlie had already gone to GA.  His many funny stories only he could tell with such humor.  Our visits to AZ, getting to see your cute home Deb, your pets, the “outdoor” screen house your Dad made for your cats......a most clever design!
We are sad that we will not be seeing him this fall, I guess it was not meant to be.  We will  come to AZ next year now. Thank you Deb and Louise for being so understanding when we spoke last week on Monday.......
The three of you are the kind of friends everyone hopes to meet a least once in their lifetime......
Ken’s work here on earth is done, he was a good and faithful servant, he now walks the Golden Paths of Heaven with his Lord and Savior, and we will all meet him once again at the Great Feast that will be prepared for all of us.....
We love you dear friends......

I am sad that Ken is gone, but glad that his fight is over. I'm very glad that my husband and I got to see you so many years ago. We couldn't have asked for better company on our short trip to AZ. Ken's is a voice that I will never forget. After all the years in AZ I could still hear the ND in him. He will be missed. Love from the youngest of the Hawkins family.

Debi-loo & Moma-loo.....I can't tell you how much you all mean to me & Rick.  Papa-loo always had a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile.  I remember when I worked for a contractor on base, I would run into him and he always was so happy to see me.  My parents, all my brothers along with Rick & I, always appreciated your kind words and warm greetings.  I feel so lucky to have known him.  Thank you for sharing him with me all these years!!!

To Louise and family.  Ken was a true friend and that friendship will never leave me as I remember always his sincerity, helpfulness, and calmness.  Our prayers that he is remembered in peace as he forever rests.  Our condolences to Louise and family, and friends, and that may God bring you heavenly serenity and peace to your life.

Louise and Debbie,  our sincerest condolences to you and your family.   Jim and I both had the privilege of working with Ken in the 80s when we were both engineering interns.  Ken was a wonderful and warm person.   Although our paths have crossed less frequently in recent years, we will miss him greatly.

Dear Debbie and Louise. Your family is my family and I feel your loss along side you. Ken was such a warm, loving and funny guy. I always loved it when I could catch a visit when you were in Phoenix. I am so thankful I got to see him just a week ago. He still had that smile! He was “Dad” to me too! Love you both.

Our most heartfelt condolences go out to you and your families.  It was always great to be able to spend time talking with Ken, whether at work or just bumping into him at the post office, Denny's, or anywhere else we were fortunate enough to have our paths cross.

He always had a smile for you, and his great sense of humor was always appreciated.  We know that he enriched whatever lives he touched.

We hope you will find some comfort in knowing how special he was to those who knew him.


Louise and Debbie, Dave and I send you both all our love, prayers and support.  A nicer, kinder man than Ken does not exist.  We have many treasured memories sustaining us at this time, as I know you do.  A man could not love his family more than Mr. Pfau, and I know your love for him was equally felt.  We look forward to spending time with you both and celebrating memories of our dear friend, who we know is looking down on you and remebering what a GREAT life he shared with you.

Louise & Debbie, we remember all the great times we had with Ken, be it at your house, out to eat, hiking, Jeeping, many others.  Ken was a wonderful person, easy to talk with on any subject, always willing to listen and offer sage advice.  And what a wonderful sense of humor!  We miss him dearly as we know you do, but feel grateful for knowing him and calling him our dear friend.  Please know we are there for you, and you are in our prayers and constant thoughts.
