Ki Ja Lee

Ki Ja Lee, 68, of Gilbert AZ, by way of Westampton, NJ departed peacefully and comfortably on July 8th, 2023. She was born January 3rd, 1955 in South Korea. She emigrated to the United States in 1977.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Myong D. Lee, her son Myong S. Lee, daughter Susan Lee, and son John Lee. Ki Ja also is survived by her daughter in laws Connie Lee & Kristine Lee, grandsons Miles, Luca, Mi’Kai and Dylan, two sisters and one brother and several nieces and nephews who reside in South Korea.

Ki Ja, also known as Umma & Halmeoni, was a successful convenience store owner along with her husband in Hamilton Township, NJ for approximately 20 years. She loved music; her favorite musician was Nahoona. She loved to sing karaoke. She spent her free time cooking delicious Korean dishes for her family and friends. She also spent her time gardening. Her favorite flowers were roses. She had a love for animals. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandsons.

Ki Ja had a warm and inviting personality. She was empathetic, fiery, kind-hearted and had an endless love for her family and friends. We love her and she will be deeply missed.

A funeral service for Ki will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206.

Service's will be streamed through Zoom.
