Larry Lee Tibby

He was born July 27th, 1938 in Loda, Illinois to Evelyn and Wendell Tibby. He lost his father at age 4 and his mother remarried Maurice Abrahamson.

Larry was the beloved husband for 57 years to Bonnie Webb who he met at the University of Dubuque. They married on June 9th 1962. He was Lieutenant JG in the Navy for 4 years, he then pursued a career at State Farm Insurance where he worked for 38 years and retired in 2002.

He cherished his children Kent and Kelly and four grandkids.

He had an avid interest in gems and was a collector of kaleidoscopes, loved watching sports, cars and drinking DQ milkshakes.

Larry and Bonnie enjoyed retirement and traveled frequently to Sedona AZ, Oceanside CA, and Door County WI. Larry and Bonnie recently moved to Mesa in 2017 to be closer to their family.

Larry is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Kent(Hye Joung) Tibby in California, daughter Kelly Theobald(John) in Arizona, four grandchildren, Hannah Tibby, Landon Theobald, Brady Theobald, and Kaylee Theobald, Sister Shirley Wadell(Jim) in IL, and Brother Roger Abrahamson in IL along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his mother Evelyn, father Wandell, and Step-Father Maurice. His funeral will be in the Chapel at Mariposa Gardens, Mesa, AZ on Sunday February 24th at 11:00.
