Lawrence D. Nelson, 89, of Mesa, passed away on February 11, 2015 with his family at his side. He is survived by his loving Wife Lena, his sons Larry and Nelson, daughter in law Kimberly, sister Irene Southard, and grandson Nicholas Lawrence. Services for Larry, affectionately known to many as the "the Mayor", will be held on Friday, February 20, 11:00 am at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 807 N. Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85203. There will be a visitation for family and friends to attend held 1 hour prior to the services, also at St. Lukes Lutheran church. We will miss his welcoming smile and his gracious nature that we could always depend on.
