Lionel Kent Bumpas passed away on November 27, 2025, at the age of 74. Well known by all those who loved him as Kent. He was born in Hominy, Oklahoma, on February 8, 1951 to parents Paul and Alma Bumpas. Becoming a longtime resident of Arizona.
Kent had a deep love for cats and taking care of them. He had a love of sports especially the Phoenix Suns, ASU Football, and the AZ Diamondbacks. He was passionate for Art and wrote poems and songs. He was known for his talent as a "weatherman" for the family.
Kent is survived by his father, Paul Keith Bumpas, and his siblings, Kay (Greg) Eddlemon, Karla (Mitch) Johnson, Kerry (Susie) Bumpas, Karolette (Ray) Peterson, and Kalia Mozie, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Marie Bumpas and niece, Nichole.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 400 South Power Road, Mesa, AZ 85206, on December 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Kent will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
