

Livia L. Betancourt, 85, of Mesa, AZ passed away on February 7, 2015. She was born on February 2, 1930 in Brownsville, TX, one of seven children to Enrique Trevino and Agustina Salinas. She married Faustino G. Betancourt in 1946; they were married for 46 years until his death in 1991 and had seven children (Enrique, Orlando, Arthur, Oscar, Tony, Norma and Sandy). They moved to Mesa in 1962 where Livia was a homemaker and raised her family. Livia enjoyed traveling, especially in later years with her sisters, around the country and to Europe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Faustino, her son Orlando, grandchild Dolores, great grandchild Devon, and two siblings, Enrique and Sylvia. She is survived by her other six children, four siblings, Ada, Imelda, Flavio and Phillip, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held at Melcher Mortuary Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr. Mesa, AZ 85204 on Monday, February 16th from 6 to 8pm with a Rosary said at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held the following day at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1551 E. Dana Ave. Mesa, AZ 85204 at 10am. Livia will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1562 E.
